Material description
Core Material Description
Absorb Panel is a high-performance acoustic solution engineered to deliver exceptional sound control while offering outstanding design flexibility. Manufactured using a lightweight PET-based acoustic core, Absorb Panel is suitable for a wide range of interior applications, including fabric-wrapped wall panels, feature elements, and ceiling solutions.

Designed for modern commercial, education, hospitality, and workplace environments, Absorb Panel provides Class A acoustic absorption while maintaining a clean, refined appearance and excellent dimensional stability. Its lightweight construction makes handling and installation straightforward, supporting efficient on-site workflows without compromising performance.

With a strong focus on sustainability, Absorb Panel is manufactured in Europe using 50% post-consumer recycled PET fibres, offering an environmentally responsible solution that aligns with contemporary building standards and design expectations.

Absorb Panel is an ideal choice for architects and designers seeking a versatile, sustainable acoustic panel that balances performance, durability, and creative freedom.

Material composition The core of Tranquil Raft is manufactured from 100% recyclable PET fibre, comprising 50% recycled content and 50% virgin fibre. This engineered PET construction provides excellent acoustic absorption, low weight, and resistance to sagging or deformation over time.

Tranquil Raft features a self-finished surface and can be supplied in a range of 3 standard colours. Where a specific aesthetic is required, the panels can also be fabric wrapped, digitally printed, or custom cut to suit project-specific design requirements.

This combination of lightweight construction, recycled content, and adaptability makes Tranquil Raft an efficient and environmentally responsible solution for suspended ceiling applications.

Fire Test Fire Performance

Acoustic panels using the Absorb 40 mm PET core are manufactured as composite products, consisting of a PET acoustic core combined with a fabric finish.

Core Material Fire Rating

The Absorb 40 mm PET core has been independently tested in accordance with EN 13501-1 and achieves a Class B reaction-to-fire classification when assessed as a standalone material.
This indicates limited contribution to fire and controlled fire behaviour under tested conditions.
(Test reports are available on request.)
Fabric Fire Ratings

A wide range of fire-rated acoustic fabrics is available.

As standard, fabrics supplied meet a minimum Class B fire rating, with alternative fire-rated fabrics available on request to suit specific project or regulatory requirements.
Fabric fire test certification can be provided upon request.
Composite System – Important Information
The complete composite system (core + fabric) is not fire tested as standard, and no declared EN 13501-1 classification is claimed for the assembled product.
The reaction-to-fire performance of a fabric-wrapped acoustic panel is influenced by multiple factors, including:
  • Core material
  • Fabric type and weight
  • Adhesive system
  • Fixing method
  • Substrate and air gap
  • Project-Specific Testing

Where a declared reaction-to-fire classification is required, testing of the complete composite system can be arranged on request, subject to test scope, lead time, and cost.

Environmental
  • Recycled Content: Absorb is manufactured from 100% recyclable PET fibre, containing 50% post-consumer recycled material. This supports resource conservation and reduces reliance on virgin raw materials.
  • Responsible Manufacturing: Manufactured in Europe, Absorb is produced using efficient manufacturing processes that support reduced transport impact and consistent quality control.
  • Low Emissions & Indoor Air Quality:
Absorb meets Emission Class M1, making it suitable for use in interior environments where indoor air quality is a priority.
  • Formaldehyde Free: Absorb is Class E1 (no formaldehyde content) and contains no asbestos, supporting safer, healthier interior spaces.
  • Material Efficiency & End-of-Life: The lightweight PET construction (2.6 kg/m² at 40 mm) improves handling efficiency during installation and supports recyclability at end of life.
  • Sustainability Commitment: By combining recycled content, low emissions, and long-term durability, Absorb supports sustainable building practices and aligns with modern environmental standards
